Thinking about a few days here, anyone have good suggestions for places to rent? Doesnt have to be on the water but it would be nice.

A buddy of mine that worked with me at the fire department owns these-very nice although not on the water in relatively close proximity to Barkley state dock/park. I guarantee great customer service. Do a google search Bleidt’s Buck and Bass Cabins

That's a big area! Any idea where you want to stay? Kentucky side has nicer more condo type. Barkley is more rural.

I’d say the Kentucky side @Dough my girlfriend is more of an “indoor” girl lol.

I'd check the Bear Creek places first. Moors Marina and Big Bear are two I've heard are nice. Green Turtle Bay is where the Loopers all stay.

Wife really likes Green Turtle Bay. Has a girls trip there every few years. I've not been to know what the boat situation is though. They won't take ours and will rent a pontoon to go about 100 yards around the corner and play cards and swim all afternoon.

That is usually a clear sign of a well run, clean and inviting business with fun and mature crowds, at least around these parts (e.g. Alton Marina, IL, on the Mississippi).
