I keep one of these on my boat keychain and suggest you do so as well. It would be no fun to get to the ramp and realize that you did not have the drain plug.

Yup...I've got one of those too!
Do you know if the drain plugs in the ski locker and the two in the engine compartment are the same as the hull drain plug. If so, in one of these moments, they could be used. I don't know how many year models have all these plugs.
 
on my 2007 they are NOT the same plug. The outside is a fine thread plug 3/4in. The internals are a coarse larger plastic plug.
 
I installed one of these a few years back. It has a second set of threads that hold it in place when it's unscrewed. You can't take it completely out...only unscrew it to the second set of threads. But I keep a spare as well! lol0000632129-001.jpgs-l640.jpg
 
FYI, I just checked and the 4 drain plugs on my boat are all the same. So in a pinch, you could take one of the less critical ones and still have your day on the water, not under the water.
