I talked to kmires. Several years ago he sold his AR230 and bought a bigger cabin cruisier. I still contact him often and see him on the lake from time to time. I told him this is not yamaha exclusive (although heavily weighted) and he would be welcome here. Don't make a liar out of me! ;)

We won't! I want to talk cruisers with him! Welcome back kmires!

I hope to have a Sundancer in my future.

Something like this

Funny you mention that Bruce...was looking at them today! Wish a single 260 would fill my bill but I think even the 280 is too small. I wish, that the 310 or 330 came in a single! No need to drink all that gas! Just set cruise and move to the anchorage, genset running, and 68F in the cabin!!! I got a feeling if momma ever does cave in, she will regret it...I may never let her out of the cabin!:playful:

My family is excited about the idea. I am not considering anything with gas engines. Diesel is the way to go. I am thinking about buying a used one somewhere nice and putting it into a charter business.

Now that is BIG money! I don't think my airline gig is going to support that even with the leaseback revenue! What's worse, the depreciation will destroy that boat in a charter outfit before the lease company helps you pay for it...so you get the boat back, still owing 13 years on it, fully used. There are good gigs out there, just have to find something that the masses don't know about!

Lets talk about it sometime but I believe that a low hours used cruiser could be placed in the charter business paying for much of its costs.

Mel,

My Mel's cousin has a cruiser yacht 42 in highport. It is soooo nice. You need one!!

@Murf'n'surf , please tell us more about this job you have?

I promise to try not to be too jealous.

Lol. It's all inclusive toy management! Yachts, boats, Seadoos, mansions, exotic cars etc. I run 'em, clean 'em and maintain them.

What a cool job! I'm sure there's never a dull moment and quit challenging at times.

Been going strong with 1 family for 16 years now! I get to see what the 2%rs do first hand.

If Texoma fills up, you think you could get that boat on it? :)

If Texoma fills up....
And if hell freezes over.... ;)

Well maybe not that long. Lake Texoma will probably fill up before Lake Travis ever does. Just not sure I'll be alive to see it. hehehe

Well, what the heck....what is the draft on that yacht? I bet Texoma could still support that boat! I am ready to go on a ride. I bet we could get a pretty good Texoma crew to hop on board too! ;)

What up gang? It's "kmires" here... Change my login to DoubleTrouble to reflect my first Yamaha. Lol.

Sounds like I missed some interesting times on that other site. :).

Just FYI, I'm now in a 1997 Silverton 360 Express cruiser. Love it but still miss my Yamaha.
