So I managed to leave my ladder down as I was backing down a ramp and heard it as soon as I started. I stopped and went to put it up. The ladder would would collapse, but not slide under the boat due to some bending where the bolts slide. Has anyone had this happen and how did you fix it?

Can you use a cresant wrench and use it to straighten it out? Hard to visualize without pics.

It looks pretty straight. I believe I need to make the opening a bit wider so the bolts can slide back n forth. I’ll grab a pic when I get home today.

I went to the hardware store and got the next size down bolt. Mine would come out half way then stop and i couldnt see any issues ( bending or any other problems). When we finally would get the ladder out we couldnt get it back in. Not problems anymore, works perfect now

That was my thoughts if I couldn’t get it fixed to just change the bolts.
