Does anyone on here have a jetboat up on lake hopatcong, new jersey? I was up there at a friends lake house last week. Hes been trying to convince his wife that they need a new boat, and i have been telling them they need a jet boat. That is until i saw how much seaweed is there. His house is in cove that gets alot of floating seaweed and its shallow- about 5 to 6 ft deep and covered in vegetation. Cant imagine a jet boat would do well in such an envirnment. His old four winns inboard has to have the weeds cleared frequently from the prop. However I saw a yammi cruising by, as well as a seadoo and a polaris docked at a restaraunt. If anyone has been there in a jetboat, do you have any input? Hes torn because we replaced his propeller and cracked one of the blades within an hour while taking the kids wake boarding.

I use Hopatcong often enough.
Some of the coves do get some weeds, and there is some large patches by the beach area that will clog up a bit if the water level in the lake is low.
However, 90% there are no problems.
