Long trip from CA. But worth it. We'll go back this year.

I hope to see some big wake boarding videos with that fancy new boat of yours.

That looks like an awesome place. I've got to make it there with our boat someday.

Wow. I'm moving to AZ later this year, and can't wait to visit there. Thanks for posting the video!

Lake Powell is the best place on earth in my opinion, we go there there at least twice a year, absolutely beautiful!!

We are going 2nd week of July out. Of Wahweap marina. 2 HouseBoats 4 family's.
They video helped convert them. :)

I'm envious. That's been on my bucket list for 20 years now.

LAKE POWELL IS A BOATERS PARADISE!!!

I can't say enough good things about Lake Powell! It was the most expensive trip I've ever taken but worth every penny. Getting a house boat for a week is the only way to do it.

WARNING! WARNING!
Before I blow this thread up with pictures I want to warn you about a few things first.

1. Bring your cover and use it every night even if there is not a cloud in the sky. You will get rained on. It is not a matter of if, but a matter of when you will get hit by a nasty Thunderstorm. 90% of the time the sky's will be clear. Button down and secure the boat for the other 10%

2. Know how to maneuver your boat in tight spaces. Practice using both engines to turn with little to NO speed. Fins for your boat will help! Below you will find a picture of a narrow slot canyon that I successfully navigated through without brushing up the sides of the boat. This was an accident.... We made a wrong turn leaving one of the canyons and wound up going through here. It was a dead end as well so we had to do a 360 degree turn with barely any room and go back out. I was sweating but I received plenty of high fives after we made it out without hurting the boat. I'm still amazed I made it through.

Great Trip, I remember you getting ready for this last summer...
We are going again in July...2 HouseBoats this time...(None last time)

Are you going to Lake Martinez? again this year? or Havasu?

So my boating season is very uncertain at the moment since I'm living in Japan for the next 21 months (Wife is still in Del Mar). I'm flying back to Cali a week from this up and coming Monday, 24 March. We have a cabin at Lake Martinez, Arizona from 28 March through 7 April. I will be deployed most of the summer on the USS GEORGE WASHINGTON. I'm hoping to make it back for Labor Day week to Havasu, Martinez or Powell, however, like I said earlier it is uncertain.

I do know that we will be buying waterfront property at Canyon Lake, CA come January 2016 when I transfer back to Cali!! That is certain! That place is a boaters paradise!

Damnit, I want to go there so bad!!! @Christy Let's make this happen!!!
Maybe if a take a few pictures while we are there I can write it off as a business trip! :woot:
