I'm thinking about renting a condo on lake travis for July. Does anybody living in Austin know how far of a boat ride is it from lago vista to say devils cove or the main body of the lake?

The condo your looking at renting is it on the water with a slip? I was thinking about going there for a weeek.

The one I'm looking at is on the water with a marina with slips. It's in highlands estates. I'm debating on it. Depends on the distance to the main body of the lake. But it looks nice for pretty cheap.

How did this trip go? We are leaving Monday to make the same trip and staying in Lago vista as well, what were some spots you went to, restaurants to eat?

It was a good trip. I ended up staying at lakeway. The gnarly gar was right across the lake. The oasis was nice. Went to devils cove which isn't very kid friendly. Little devils cove is more kid friendly. You gotta check out hippy hollow(not kid friendly). There's the volante water park. Plus a zip line. Had a great time.

Thanks, where is little devils cove? I will have my 1 and 6 YO kids and my dad with us. Plus we don’t drink, so... lol. The oasis doesn’t have water access right? You have to drive there?

Little devils cove is right next to devils cove. As your coming into devils cove go to the left you'll see the cove split.

No the oasis doesn't have water access.

The gnarly gar has great food. Plus fuel and a ships store.

Lake Travis is very nice. I'm probably gonna go again this summer. Definitely worth the drive.

I wonder how long does lane Travis stays warm ... if mid October relatively warm or you get cold like you do up here in Dallas

Travis is pretty. I didn’t realize how hilly it is and how deep the lake is, the dock is 70 ft deep, and just out from the dock it’s almost 200ft. There's spots where you can jump off the cliffs into the lake too. Lake travis is beautiful no doubt.

Here’s some photos of the cliff jumping, I didn’t have shoes or I would of climed up myself. I remember back in high school jumping off them with a friend once. 6D04A128-2FAA-439B-B4ED-6966246F6896.jpeg6CF59746-B52E-4BE7-912C-32384EED6715.jpeg
