I asked this in another section. Maybe I'll have better luck in this section. Anyone know how far it a boat ride it is from lago vista to the main portion of the lake on lake travis in austin?

I've never clocked it, but I would say it probably takes about 45 mins to an hour if you just go point A to B with a cruise around 30 mph. I launch from Mansfield dam and have run up to Pace Bend a couple times.

Hmmm, might have to find me a closer location.

I guess it depends on what you consider the main part of the lake. I was thinking from where I launch at the dam as the main part, but if you just want to get up into Devil's cove to party it's probably half that time.

That shouldn't be bad. Maybe 20 to 30 mins

no not at all. I was messing with James because we are planing gathering on June 9th and he can only make either Ouachita or Lake Travis, so I was trying to entice him towards Ouachita. I will tag you on that thread.

PS. Ouachita is known for random rocks, so staying on the "channels" or with a local person is not a bad idea.

Well I'm going to the power boat poker run in July. But that's set. It was my back up to bimini. But if I can swing it I'm going to ouichita.
