Yesterday, the weather opened up to about 72 degrees and the wind dropped to 10 mph. Had a chance to take my dad and brother out for their inaugural ride in a Yamaha jet boat on local Canyon Lake near New Braunfels Texas. You couldn't ask for a better day! If I had a wetsuit, it would have been a great day to ski.

We had the lake to ourselves. A few fisherman were out but no boats were out putting out any wakes. Wind was about 10-15 when we launched then fell completely flat. After a few flat out runs (48.5 mph GPS verified) with my brother at the helm, we just trolled around at fast idle and took in a beautiful day. It was warm enough that it was shirt sleeve weather. I even took the time to practice some anchoring and do a little boat wipe down.

Merry Christmas to all and to all a calm lake!

Nice pictures..... @ 72 degrees I would have been in surfing!!! :p

The water temp was about 62. Doable if the water was warmer of if I had that wetsuit that hopefully Santa will bring.

Almost forgot to mention, I had installed my new Cobra Venom Ultimate fins. There was a noticeable improvement in low speed steering as I had expected. I look forward to playing with them more this spring.
