JetBoatPilot 's brand new Patent Pending Lateral Thrusters are getting near to our late December ship date.

As an update those of you who own Yamaha boat models which do not have threaded voids on the side of your jet pump (on newer models this is where you'd attach the sacrificial anode), we're proud to announce that we've successfully designed and tested a universal mount bracket which will work on any Yamaha Jet Boat regardless of year or model.

Here's pictures of the new bracket installed. Stay tuned for an updated installation video.

The installation is very straight forward. You simply remove the factory jet pump mount bolt, add the bracket and a dab of locktite on the threads and reinstall. The opposite end of the bracket lines up with the stabilizer arm on the Lateral Thruster. Add a screw with washer and nylock nut and you're done!

Also this new bracket has another great side benefit. For those of you who have jet pumps with anodes and threaded voids you may notice that dirt, crud and other build up will be present in the voids. With the previous bracket design you would have been required to clear the threaded void of all debris prior to installation. This new bracket eliminates that step making installation easier with a minimum of tools and time required.

Also we are testing the latest version of the billet machined Lateral Thruster Single this week and should be receiving twin engine first articles from the foundry later this month. Our projected ship date for completed production parts is still late December.

Thank you for your patience as we perfect this truly revolutionary new product!

I'm wondering if the smaller pump on the two stroke boats has the same geometry. Would you mind measuring the bolt spacing for the 4 pump bolts?

Sure, the bolt holes are approximately 5 7/8" apart on the 2012, 2013, 2017 and even the older 2008 pump I have here in the shop. Can you measure the lower bolt hole locations on your pump and tell me how far apart they are from center to center.

Yep I'll get back to you. Feeling pretty excited.

My dial calipers read 5.5 inches between the bottom two bolts.

Is that from Center to Center?

Yes.

The pump on the LS/LX 2000/210 have the same motor and pump as the 97-gp1200. So no L13 cone etc. I know the gpr1200 had a bigger pump and it can take the L13 cone. I bet the xr1800 would have that pump. I don't know about the 4-stroke pumps other than the look different and know I know the bolt pattern is different and they can also use the L13 cone.

Ok I'll see if I can find one local. I will update you asap.

Not sure if you saw the update but we were able to create a special mount bracket that works with your boat.
