i live in FL and the ramps here are typically shallow which makes it difficult to launch and sometimes recover unless you have half your vehicle in the water as well. Should I modify the trailer boards or soap them up or what?

Thanks ahead of time

Matt

Swap bunks for rollers. We launch with boat just about out of the water. Just the norm with a shallow ramp. With rollers, roll on, roll off. Ramp deep enough? Float on, float off, no down side.

Silicone Spray on the bunks works great for me, Generous application every few months. just watch out, it will slide off as if it was on butter!

or use pledge on the bunks, same result

OK, I’ll try the low tech solution first, silicon or pledge first before I more drastic things.

How about bunk slicks, opinions?

Not really needed but as stated be careful not to un tie the boat before backing in the water or it will slide off the trailer half way down the ramp.
