I launched my new to me 2011 242 today and did a pretty good job. I'm just not sure how I set up the fenders during launch because of my guide rod poles. When I backed the boat off the trailer the pole ripped one of the sentry fenders off and I lost it lol. I can slide the pole off but then it leaves a metal peace sticking out about a foot which I don't want to damage the hull. Any ideas? This was my first launch ever and I'm new to boating.

Put your fenders out after your boat is off the trailer. Put your fenders away before loading on the trailer.
