Boating my 2012 242 ls on lake erie and 100% need some tabs. Has anyone heard about a lectro group buy and does anyone recommend bennett over lectrotab. Thank you.

I have one Bennett 3000 on my boat between the jets hanging off my armored keel and keel extension and love it... Likes:
  1. keep the boat more level in transition on and off plane
  2. get on plane at much lower speeds
  3. stops the porpoising at speeds over 50 mph
  4. Bennett owned by Yamaha USA
no dislikes at this point...
i might have lost a couple MPH on the top end but its nothing a pair for 160 HO MR-1's wont fix LOLattachment - 2021-10-23T120850.791.jpgattachment_2 (3).jpegattachment_5.jpeg

I've used both on many boats over the years and prefer Lectrotab but honestly they are both good products. Lectrotab will have great customer service and most Yamaha owners are using Lectrotab. If my memory serves me correctly I believe they do a group buy October ish.

Got the Lectrotabs through the group buy on here. Can't speak pro or con to the Bennett, but the tabs have been one of my best investments in the boat, hands down. A+ on the customer service at Lectrotab, too, tho. Set me up with the right options, etc. straight away.

You know...I wonder when Yamaha will start putting Bennett trim tabs on boats from the factory. I mean Yamaha owns Bennett.

.

I put Lectrotabs on my 07 and loved them.
