I am looking to replace my stock tail/brake lights on my 2008 AR230 trailer. I have to replace bulbs almost every time after I drop the boat in the water and would just like to get LEDs to replace the lights. Anyone know what are the direct replacement LEDs for the 2008 AR230 trailer? Thanks!

I bet any local auto part store or even Walmart has direct replacement bulbs. I replaced by complete light assembly with new LED units from Northern Tool a couple of years back.

I bought new lights from SuperBrightLEDs.com when they had a sale going on (15-20% off).

For the most part they have (and other stores) have direct replacements for the MFI and Shorelandr trailers, they are pretty common lights and easy to upgrade to LED units. I don't think I would do a bulb replacement, but instead get a new sealed LED unit.

Maybe I should have clarified, I want new housings with LEDs. Someone posted a link a few weeks ago of the ones they got, but I can not find it now.

harbor freight led worked on my shoreland'r trailer

I just bought the Harbor freight lights. With their 4th of july sale and a super saver 25% off coupon they came to $27.99. Now I just need to put them on.

i have had mine on for over a year now with zero issues... i also changed out the center marker lights to led

OK, so today I put on the LEDs. Took about 5 mins per side. I always wanted to do a write up on something so here it is. LOL

Here's my old incandescent bulb light. Poor guy, he's only a year old but keeps burning up bulbs.

Step 1. Take off the 2 nuts holding the light on.

Step 2. Remove the light, and pull the grommet so you can pull some wire out.

Step 3. I cut the wires staggered so that the splices are all separated.

Step 4. Splice the wires together matching the wire colors.

Step 5. Check your lights to make sure they work and then clean up.

LOL I cant wait to document something important...:p

Roger that. I posted my fuse panel install and was SO excited. LOL

I installed the Harbor Freight lights on my 2008 galvanized trailer, it wasnt a direct replacement, as i had to cut some metal off my trailer for them to fit. Just a heads up to any one who purchases these for a 2008 AR230 galvanized trailer.

I put the grote kit on mine. Some small mods to make it fit. They have been great. Cam.
