I was wondering how custom plates get made. We have the dealer one on our truck but would love to have Jetboaters.net or a yamaha one.
I will talk to a place near me about it but would like [USERGROUP=3]@Administrative[/USERGROUP] permission to use graphic etc and also see if there is interest in a group buy.

I personally think the Jetboaters.net one would be the better because we are NOT just a Yamaha site, which i personally think is awesome!

Let me know what y'all think!

I know this is a quick response to my own thing, but if i get 20 or more i can get for 5-6 bucks each!

Does anyone have a high quality version of the logo?

I like it. I probably wouldn't replace my Razorback plate, but if I did, I'd go with a Jetboaters one.

Great idea. @justason, can provide illustrator versions of the artwork. I certainly would buy a few.

Lots of Internet sites for custom signs offer license plate options. I made this custom one a while back. Even the one-off price was pretty cheap, so 25 or so of the JBN logo would be reasonable enough to manage cost/distribution for interested parties.

My company does logo products and apparel. We could make the license plate frames if no one else has found a solution!

Found a few online.
If you would like, I can show you what I got and you give me a quote. PM me if you'd like.

fyi, working with a few places to get something solid going.
How important would it be to have different colors on the star on the logo?
I get discounts for ordering multiples, but having more variety makes it a bit more difficult. I doubt I would need 20 red star, 20 blue, and 20 orange.
Thoughts anyone?

I would prefer red, and would buy blue, but would not purchase orange.

Blue preferred. Red a fine choice. Not a fan of orange

Where would you mount these custom plates? We discussed this early on, and decided since many states have laws that require both rear and front license plates, that it might not be well received. However, a frame sounds like a good idea, but not sure how much of the logo other than name you can put on a frame.

Frame may be next but the dealer put holes in my bumper to affix their plate so I want to replace!
You could also put in your garage, other side of boat trailer, front side of current plate, or hang at a cottage. I am doing this for myself primarily but would love to offer the fruits of my labor to all.
currently I don't trust the color matching on the online stuff so I have two local places to work with. I may order one and see how it turns out.

I should be getting a prototype soon.
will post pics as soon as I do!

anxious to see these. The dealer installed the front license plate frame so now I have a blank spot to fill...

Got one that I am going to put on boat trailer on front side of plate. It has the @Speedling on it so you guys can contact me when ya see it!
haven't had time to install that one yet with working 16 hours a day, but will do my best.
Ordering info should come soon!

I believe this it's live!
