Anyone shop at Lidl yet? As far as I know it is only located in the mid Atlantic states...VA, NC and SC only I believe. But they are expanding at a rapid pace.

I was a little sceptacle at first but of the 30-40 things we have tried we only didn't like 1 thing so far. We normally shop at Target and I would guess we have saved at least 20-30% over the Target prices for what we have bought so far. They don't have everything but a pretty good selection and the store in my area they keep very clean.

Anyone have the scoop on who makes any of there Lidl branded foods? Some things we have tried taste just like the well known brands.

My wife's been there once and she seemed to enjoy it. Prices were good. As far as who makes their products, all I know is that Lidl is a German company but I'm sure they use a state side processor/packager.

Are they better than aldis? My wife drives past lidl everyday coming home from work but she hasn't stopped yet!

They're very comparable from what I hear.

They are very comparable but I think cleaner and I like the selection better.

They have a US headquarters up in VA somewhere. so I would imagine their processors are here as well.

I will need to look at the packaging.

My in-laws are in Wake Forest and shop there at least 2 times a week. They have brought us some of the bakery products and were very tasty! There saying the same thing about great stuff and great savings!

I enjoyed shopping there on the other side of the pond.

If you guys are fans of the Thin Mint Girl Scout cookies, then try these.

Just took some out of the freezer and they taste just like the GS ones. Best part...$1 for a package.

Not sure what I am going to tell my daughter when she is trying to sell GS cookies next year...lol. In the end I will continue to buy from her since it is supporting a great cause. But at least in the off season I can get my fix.
