Which life jackets are you all using? Where do you shop for them at?

The majority of our jackets are neoprene that are from Stearns, Body Glove and Yamaha that we've purchased from Sam's Club, Amazon, eBay over the years. Most boat retailer's have them available where you can get fitted properly to ensure a safe outing (although you'll more than likely pay a premium there).

Vest in the most common sizes are in short supply. Would like to replace a couple of ours and have been looking on and off for about 2 months. When we find ones we like they are out of stock. Have tried Amazon, Bart's and Overton's.

Costco hyperlite

We bought our current vests from Costco, but our local Costco really hasn't had any this year.

Early in the season the local Costco had really nice neoprene HyperLite vests for $39.99 but the normal sizes were all gone by the time I found them. Stopped in a couple weeks ago and they surprisingly had gotten more in so I bought 2 mediums, 2 large, and 1 XL. These are a great deal when you compare price/quality to the other quality manufacturers but you gotta keep an eye out for them.

We have usually noted that the larger sporting good stores really try to clear out inventory up here in MN after the 4th of July holiday. It's all downhill from there.

If you just need quantity, it really makes little difference. But if you tube often, or do board sports, a good fitting neoprene is amazing. I moved to a Segmented neoprene two season ago, and it fits so well with all the little neo panels. Glad it adjusted well, as I lost a fair amount of weight and still fits. nice.

I have always liked the HO branded vests, but nobody really makes junk. HO partners with Scheels to make Scheels branded vests and tubes, and we have had great luck abusing each.

Like others above, I've purchased multiple Hyperlite vests from Costco. I've also purchased Hyperlite vests from ALs.com, though the ones there are like 10 bucks more than at Costco. The Hyperlite vests are the ones we use on a regular basis, but we also have a four pack of adult jackets and a couple kid's jackets from Academy Sports (all Onyx brand) that I keep on the boat as extras for guests.

I keep 8 of the ugly red ones to show to the CG, they are $25 for 4 at Academy. For Neoprene, to actually wear, I have purchased whatever Academy has in stock as best priced. O'rageous is their in house brand is a great value and pretty comfortable.
