has anyone ever tried a spray on liner application on the bottom of the boat to protect it from scratches or worse from landing or beaching the boat...Using this in replace of the standard stick and peel keel protector that generally needs to b replaced from time to time.. I'm thinking about this and wanted some thoughts on it, thx in advance!!!

Paging @Sotally Tober , please.

(he did that with LineX, I believe)

Did u notice any drag or lack or performance from installing it.

I have one on my ar240, FZS, and my wifes EX deluxe. No negatives at all.

If your hull will ever touch the beach…
No downside for me.

The lineX spray is decent, but really only protects against scratches. Hit a log or something solid floating at a good clip or at speed and it won't do much. The Keel guard will protect it much better. I don't beach, but don't want to tear a chunk of fiberglass out hitting a floating log or branch. So the keel guard protects it as much as I can.

Its sprayed on the Pentagon walls to protect against blasts, it will protect against logs, people dont spray it on their trucks to prevent scratches, but dents.

Seen it on a boat, there is no way that is going to protect against a log at speed. Have had it on my truck bed. Dented bed easily. Gelcoat and fiberglass doesnt bend

How long is your keel guard? I might as well get that done while I'm still in dry dock for awhile.

That product is made by Line-X, but isn't what goes in your truck bed or on your boat hull. Consumer grade line-x will offer abrasion resistance and a some impact resistance, but not as much as a rubber keelguard.

The Line-X keelguard looks like an interesting concept, but I couldn't find a dealer nearby who has done it (and don't want to be a guinea pig).
