Tired of hijacking a certain Grey 242 LS owners thread...

Took her out today, no kids. Left the Daytona beach marina, and hit 50mph before Ponce Inlet. Then rode 55 miles up the coast (in the Atlantic) to St Augustine. Seas were calm when we left, but 2-4 ft when we got to St Augustine. A little bumpy, but not totally unbearable. Docked and filled with gas, and we are visiting St Augustine right not. Will return via River/intercostal. About a 110 mile round trip.

Sounds like a great day!

It does sound great! Glad you got the boat out and enjoyed the capability. I took the liberty of changing your thumbnail attachment to an embedded image so readers wouldn't have to click to see it...hope you don't mind! More pics of your trip and post as full image if you want to make them visible here. Love the name too!

She's looking pretty sitting out there...

Isn't this great, October, 88 degrees and still boating.

Gotta love it!

Vnice. Congrats.

The morning view from the Hotel on the beach. Perfect boating weather in Daytona!

finally was ready to open her up, and see what she's got. 50mph? I'll take that!

Heading out Ponce Inlet, surprised that we didn't see a lot of boats all day. Was actually refreshing.

Uh-oh, the wife wants to drive 'Her boat' for the first time...'Hold-on!'

Ran across a Pirate ship coming into St Augustine...

Docked up in St Augustine, time to show off her name :P

So we went up the Coast in the Atlantic, but came down the Matanzas River, which like earlier in the day was almost devoid of Boats...but we did pass these things..... BTW...think they'll take my boat in on trade? The wake that these things made on the river when they were doing 35-40 was phenomenal! of course, I was faster! watching these 2 chasing each other down the river is something I will never forget.Passed them twice (we stopped and let them pass at a drawbridge to get pictures). I am in love.

Had an awesome day, and plan on doing it again...maybe some others may want to join in on the fun?

Amazing pictures. We have to make this trip with you some time. The wife and I took a swing by the old fort a while back. We looked over at the bay from there, and thought it would be great boating. Thanks for sharing!

Great pictures. We go to that part of St. Augustine a lot especially for the bike weeks. The pictures bring the good times back. We can't make this fall's rally so I can look at your pictures and think of it. It is a bit of haul to bring the boat down there but if you do plan something early next summer let me know. I may try to work it out.

She looks so nice sitting there!

One was a Pershing 62' (solid platinum color) valued at $2.5 million. The other I think was an older 70' Sunseeker Predator, but not sure.

Damn I need to find a job in FL! We have a fall cruise planned with some other members but our season is over. I'll be winterizing after the that.

Sorry to go off topic here but holy crap those boats err yachts are awesome!! On Tonka someone brought a Sunseeker, and in a land of SeaRay Sundancers that was an awesome sight. Another guy has a new gold/bronze colored Riva which is crazy awesome.

Looks like the Garmin 70DV is going to be mounted on the dash... Thoughts?
