Thanks for sharing. Well done.

Love the Boxer! I have one (actually 5 and 1 Bernese Mountain Dog) that looks identical to yours.

Thanks! Yea he has turned into a pretty good boat dog... especially after he runs the sand bar for 4 hours...

Great vid , it helps to have a jet boat in that area , lots of prop boats getting stuck near the lighthouse...i clam right near the inlet

Great video! I used to live in Toms River so appreciate the cruise down memory lane!

Wow, just wow. I'm new to the NJ area. And this was my first intro to LBI. Getting a 2021 Yamaha AR190 in a few months. I know where I'm going to be vacationing. Great video!!!

ANYTIME! It’s a nice area, we are about to make a move (house sale) closer to the area so I think this might be our new launch spot... lemme know if you in the area we could always meet up!

Thinking about dropping in for the day at the Barnegat municipal dock, any tips you can share?

That’s where we launch, it’s nice cause you can go straight out to the #42 marker and catch the “new” Chanel straight to the inlet... we went up to forked river which is just a little north, looked like everything was limited dinning cause of Covid... not sure the name of the place but if you head south towards the bridge onto LBI there’s a new place that was doing outdoor dining with a lot of dock space

Called the boat yard

Great thanks for the info. I have only been on the Hudson and our normal lake which is Greenwood lake so the launch looks a little intimidating to my wife because the walls/docks are so tall and I tell her she has to either back the truck and trailer in or take care of getting the boat off, neither option is her strong suit!

Ha. yea its not a bad ramp. Enough to launch two trailers at once, and the parking lot is huge. The guys running the ramp to are always willing to help out. Just about every time I launch there they ask if I need a hand putting in...

Awesome! I am currently on the Bay in Beach Haven West at LBI and will be in Avalon next. I see that you are in Delran - do you recommend the Rancocas for boating? If so where is a good ramp to put in with trailer parking?

The place you are thinking of is "The Boatyard." It is on the north side of Cedar Bonet Island halfway between LBI and Manahawkin. Great spot for boaters. As a matter of fact if you look at my boat on the lift to the left it is precisely where the sun is rising. :D It is a beer garden, serves food, pleny of good boat slips and is open now! Here is a link The Boatyard

Thanks.

Rancocas is nice, I prefer heading up North on the Delaware instead. The water has been super clean lately. Like 5 feet of clarity... which is impressive for anyone that knows the Delaware River lol. Also a little more to do that way for us (Sandbar, Tullytown Cove, Pirates Cove, Bristol Docks). I use Hawk Island Marina just because its 3 minutes from my house to the ramp. He's got a nice long ramp that is kind of protected from the current, which makes it easier getting on the trailer.

If you head up the Rancocas be careful on low tides once you get pass the Route 130 Bridge it can get really shallow, enough for you to beach... At high tide you can take it all the way to where it splits into the North and South branches. They recently took out a low bridge that would give us clearance issues by Carlucci's Waterfront Restaurant. I've gone as far as the Route 38 Bridge in Hainesport but then turned around, a lot of stumps started showing so it wasn't worth the risk to me...

Thanks. I will check out the Delaware - the last time I boated in there was 1985 with a 19' Glaston Calson. Olds 455 with a Berkley jet, "The good 'ole days." :D

Small world. I work in Moorestown.

I've been boating with a friend lately in the Delaware. Frenchtown / Upper Black Eddy area. The water has been amazing.

Are you using the beach haven ramp at 9th street? We like going out of Brigantine, but the parking is super limited, and this year unless you get down there before 7AM, you're not getting a spot. We're thinking of trying to go out of LBI and exploring that area, as its not much further from us.

I have used it before when we stay at a friends house on the island, but if we’re coming from home it’s just easier not dealing with the shore traffic, so we mostly use Barnegat twp municipal ramp... you live in Medford right? We’re moving there ??At then end of august

Cool, will look up the barnegat one.

Yep, in Medford - what part are you moving to? It's a nice town, love the quiet, and still close to everything.
