So I'm thinking about getting into the world of jet boats. Bought a Waverunner last year and I think I want more... I'm primarily looking at Glastrons (already posted in the Glastron subforum). What I learned so far is that 19' won't really cut it (which is what I originally wanted) so I'm looking at 21' models.
I just prefer the Glastron design (GT 207), over Yamaha, and also they cost a bit less. (But I'm not ruling out Yamaha entirely, I think I could live with a SX210.)
The problem I would be facing is that I don't have enough space around my house to store a boat. I live in Nassau County, Long Island NY.
What I'm looking for is a large backyard or a lot to park the trailer+boat. Then on weekends, I would just hitch it up and pull it to the boat ramp. Doesn't have to be on the shore, just close enough. Either on the south shore (Freeport, Point Lookout area), or on the north shore (Glen Cove, Port Washington, etc.)
Is this the most cost efficient way to go about this? Of course I could go directly to a marina but those are pretty expensive around here, especially for the casual boating I'm looking to do...
Looking for advice...
