Anyone have a shipping cover in good shape for the SX190 that they want to sell?

Not to hijack your thread! But I was wondering if there is a place to buy those shipping covers new, as well?
These shipping covers are the best for towing IMO, do not scuff the hull at speed (like a premium cover can).

I wish I knew of one, the guy I bought my boat from was able to find one somewhere but its now getting worn. I contacted the local Yamaha dealer here, (they aren't really very friendly, guess they don't care about my business) and they told me they aren't supposed to give them out. I wanted to buy one but it seems they are only interested in selling a full blown boat cover that really doesn't protect from the elements like these shipping covers. If I find a source I will let you know....

The premium mooring covers scuff during travel? What is their use then?

Mooring.

You can use the premium cover for travel of course but it does cause chafing of gel coat, especially under the bow, will look worse on a dark hull, too. The two known ways to ameliorate the issue are: painters (blue) tape under the cover strap, and tightening the ratchets up real snag - reducing movement/flap. I think it was @Majorsmackdown who reported on that first, maybe he will chime in.

Got it. Thanks. I will be towing for a 5-10 minute ride to the dock 90% of the time. Then the boat will be stored in my garage. I will wait to get a mooring cover ... I see them in many folk's pics with their tow rigs so I figured that the standard travel setup.
