I can't seem to find a thread here, or any Google help on this one. Looking for a stainless steel or aluminum upgraded part. The plastic pop-up cap just does not sit right with me for a nice boat like this.

I hate the gas gap on my SX230 the white just looks cheap.

Look at the parts for limited S. It has a metal gas cap. I would post a picture but only seem to have pictures of the starboard side.

Thanks Jace, Found it. In case anyone else is looking:

Yamaha part# F2J-U783E-20-00. They call it a Fuel Filler Assembly.

Not sure if yours is the same. But a few years ago I ordered a spare fuel cap from Yamaha (just in case mine wanted to take a look at the bottom of the fuel dock) and Yamaha requires you to order the cap gasket separately. So if you're planning on replacing and keeping the old one as a spare, you might want to check with the dealer to see if it's complete.

Thanks Dennis, but my unit does not have a separate cap, it's a flip-up unit but plastic. The part # I referenced seems to be the metallic version of the same.

Installed the cap. Looks nice and was really easy.
Just took a roll pin punch and small hammer to remove the old cap. Verified spring location and installed new metallic cap.

@rsg1963 Looks great. Did you order that cover from attwood? Do you know what the part # is?

If i buy the whole assembly will it fit and replace my screw in type?
