lost max rpm on 250hp scarab

good morning everyone,
got back my scarab 195 yesterday from dealer for the 25 hr service check and oil change , took it to the water and now i don't get max rpm(8100/45mpr), only 7800/ 40 mpr
oil is reading alittle high above top mark? nothing in impeller

Any feedback would be great

They forgot to reset computer, It automatily reduces rpm if you don't reset 25hr timer. Well that's what the dealer said.

Well got boat back today and boat back to normal (8100rpms and 44mpr).
Service tech. said that i may have lost max rpm due to bad gas (low octane),
Also my engine oil was alittle high which he said could reduce max rpms.
The tech. stated that i was still in spec. with rotax max rpm (7850-8100) depending conditions and gas quality.

Now the last thing is that the service manage said again that when the rotax/scarab rep. was in last, he stated that the new engines reduce rpms if 10/25 service has not been reset. the service tech. did not hear or know of this? i dont know, but it was like a switch when i lost max rpms last week. If anyone knows if this true on 2017 models it sure would be helpful!!

There is no such thing as engine torque limitation when maintenance wrench is ON.
Definitely lower octane gasoline will have a significant impact on engine performance, especially in the heat of the summer.

good morning everyone,
yesterday went out on the boat and again noticed that i lost max rpm /speed only getting 7700rpm/38mpr with just me on the boat, got even worse with 3 more people on it(7550RPM/36MPH). !!! got good gas in it now not the issue
hole shot and everything up to full thottle is great
outside temp. was 85 f and water temp. almost 80 f

i called the tech. at dealer to see what was up about power loss and he said that the water and air temperature is the cause , supercharger not putting out max boost.
DOES SOMEONE OUT THERE KNOW IF THIS IS TRUE , BECAUSE IF IT IS, I WILL NOT GET POWER BACK UNTIL FALL WHEN IT COOLS DOWN!!
in the manual it does not state anything about water/outside temp. impacting performace!!!!!!
Or is there something wrong with this engine.

i have been boating for 40 yrs, outboards, sterndrives, and 5 yrs with seadoo 155hp speedster (nonsupercharger) with never this much power loss.!!!!!

What octane are you using? If you fill up with regular, or mid grade, this will happen.

Also, if you are buying fuel on the water it is only 90 octane..

The gas station Is not on water, I don't believe it's gas, something to do with the water and outside temperatures

I did last night add octane booster just for the hell of it, nothing!!!!
I did notice that when I first got out on the water it was up to 7800/40mpr, after about 20 minutes I was back down to 7700/36mpr. Hot and humid last night, water temp about 80f

Yes, but I get full RPMs here in Florida in the heat on the summer with water temps over 80. I wonder if you are having issues with you plugs or coil packs not producing as they should.

If its only 100 RPM then yea, your intercooler is getting heat soaked. You can purchase an aftermarket one from Riva or Fizzle that disperse heat better. Another option is water/meth injection.

So 400rpm loss is not normal even in this heat? So what you are saying Is you can lose some boost in warm conditions but not this much correct?

I'd try a new set of plugs, did the dealer replace them with the service?
