This is my first attempt to lube the pump bearing and I do not know how to do it right way. Your input is highly appreciated. The hose is very soft. It looks like there is no lube inside. Should I fill it up with lube so it is firm from the top to bottom? Should I also disconnect the bottom part from the housing and then connect again when I am done with lube? Should the hose be firm and hard to bend? Thanks!

This is from our FAQ about lubing that bearing,
https://jetboaters.net/faq/what-needs-greasing-in-the-drive-train-on-my-yamaha-jet-boat.9/

I did mine a few years ago, I can't remember if the hose was flexible or stiff,

Because I was unsure what had been done before and other reports of gelled or different layers of grease others had removed I did disconnect at the bottom and pumped until new grease came out the bottom of the hose and then reattached the hose and then gave it 2 more pumps,

I would tell you to do the same and be sure to only put the minimum amount in unless your experiencing some sort of issue since this "bearing" is only a water block and not a friction reduction point. if you put to much and blow that seal you'll have 10x the issue to fix.

That is not the pump that is the intermediate bearing and be very careful not to damage the seals do a search on that subject there is a lot of info regarding it.

You may want to change out some of those clamps. They look pretty rusted.

Thank you. I found this video on youtube. Is it what I should do?
