Some of you may remember my post from earlier this year when I grounded my boat on her maiden voyage. My insurance company paid for most of the damage after their adjuster inspected my boat. Well, the adjuster missed some damage. I specifically remember him telling me I was lucky because the pumps look unscathed.

My boat is currently at the dealer for the 10 hr service. I asked them to check out a vibration I am feeling throughout the hull. I haven’t felt any loss of power or cavatation but I’m easy on my boat.

Here’s what they found. I looked the parts up on Babbitt’s so I’ll know if they try to rip me off. I’ll probably do the work myself.

I can’t believe they missed that. Are you buying new impeller and housing?

It’s still at the dealer. He’s sending me a quote on Tuesday. I’ll probably do it myself unless he cuts me a deal.
