Marine Forecast for Hurricane Matthew

I'm a bit prone to sea sickness. Do you think I would be good with a little Dramamine?

Watch this sub move!.....

Good thing you got a bigger boat!

13 second intervals? Rollers i say...

51 footers? No problem in a Cobalt, I am sure. Now, these lightweight jetboats with no keel...

BS reason #36 from that Cobalt video :winkingthumbsup"

That's correct. @Andy S would only need to install his bow cover.
When I filled out my Cobalt new boat survey their BS video on jet boats was one of the things that I mentioned. My survey included a 9 page document of my opinion of the good things about my boat, the bad design issues with my boat, issues as a result of 9 days in the open waters of the Bahamas, and false depiction of jets vs stern drives in shallow water. Corporate Cobalt actually called me to discuss some of the issues I had experienced with my boat during the Exuma and back run, there were some things that happened that concerned them related to safety of the boat which I was able to fix during the trip and shortly after get back home. During the discussion I moved the conversation to their false depiction of jets and stern drives in shallow water, I let them know that one of the main reasons my boat was in the shop for repairs was due to my boat running aground in the Bahamas and a Yamaha jet had no troubles in shallow water. Not because the dealer wasn't trying but it took almost 5 weeks for the dealer and finally a technician from Volvo Penta (engine manufacture) to fix my boat as a result of it running a ground. I have no confidence that my inputs will lead them to change their depiction but every chance I get I will make sure they are made aware of their BS video.

Great fishing a few days after a hurricane though!!

Can't be that serious of a storm, I don't see Jim Cantore there. :drowning: Stay safe!

The Bimini weather cam has been offline since early this afternoon. Hopefully it is just the power outage but if there is a 9' storm surge it will make a mess.

You out there now?
How is the resorts and condos?
I don't think he is there, unless he provided them to CBS news because I saw videos of those scenes. They are on grand Exuma island which is the largest and farthest south island of the Exuma island chain. We stayed about 50 miles north of that island this past summer.

Looks like Hurricane Matthew passed just East of Bimini. This is unlikely to be good for the 2017 trip. If that 11' storm surge is more than media hype I see the docks floating above the marina and the lower levels of the condos flooded.
