Ya wow. It is nice to see such young faces at NASA and JPL. Hopefully it encourages the younger generation to get into the sciences and see how cool it is.

Yup! My good friend is one of the Engineers on the Mars project and also engineered one of the Battle Bots on this season's show. We served together on USS TOPEKA (SSN 754).

I still contend one of the best moments in modern space exploration was when the dude that had the idea for the sky crane first spoke up in a brainstorming session.

"I got it.......We'll hover a rocket powered crane 30m over the surface, then slowly lower the lander, then blast the crane off to crash somewhere else".......What?.....Doesn't that sound like an EPIC COOL way to land a rover?!?!.......Yes, yes sir, I've had my annual CT scan, and I'm not on drugs"
