I have a 2004 AR 230 just replace both ECU , I'm getting RPM range 6000 the 8000 boat was very sluggish( I was in rough water)

what is the normal operating RPM at cruising speed

7k-8k for the HO.

Pretty sure MR1s turn 10000+ max rpm +\- a few 100 for altitude and HO/non HO

Yes. If 'cruising speed' means max rpm, then 10k + is it.

That's great information thank you

10,200- 10,300 rpms on my 07 MR-1's HO. But not on the 04's, not HO's

What altitude are you running at?

no sure , the boat is in the great lakes ( Michigan)

Wouldn’t be from altitude then. I live at 7000 feet and it robs about 20% of my top end.
