Might be going to the dark side...Yep - doing it; PICS of new boat!

Nice! Was out the other day docked with my neighbor on his new Supra SE 450, and man....I think my next boat will be a wake boat. Maybe not a Supra due to the ungodly price, but something a little more affordable.

How do you like the driver/passenger seat area and the windshield? It looks like there isn't much freeboard and you would up, and exposed. May be a good thing though. Sometimes I like to sit up higher, or stand up on my Yamaha so I'm up above the window. There are times I prefer to be down in boat though, and have the comfort of the boat wrapped around me.

nice congrats, Love the 3D logos really sets it off

Freaking awesome.
Please post updates.

Beauty for sure!!!

enjoy!

A note on prices - they all have pretty ungodly list prices, but there's a LOT more wiggle room in pricing than there is on a Yamaha. 20% off MSRP is pretty common.

I really like the seating and the windshield for how we boat. The lack of side shields on the windshield wouldn't be ideal if you boat in bad weather....but we don't. The seating itself is plenty deep and very nicely contoured. With the driver's bolster down, I look straight through the windshield. With the bolster up, my line of sight is just over the top of the windshield. Because of the fact that you are often circling back around to talk to people in the water in a boat like this, having the open sides is really nice - just experienced this tonight with my daughter in the water.

Thanks! I like the logos, too. They're machined aluminum and through-bolted on as well. In fact, there's not a decal anywhere on the boat except for the registration numbers. The colors are all in the gelcoat itself.

That's a Winner. Looking forward to the first pictures and wake shots

That thing is sick! love the color combo... very clean

Handing our 2011 SX210 over to its new owner tomorrow. I confess that I have a little bit of an "ache" over it - we have had a lot of great times on this great boat! That said, I can't wait for the MB to be delivered...just a few weeks away now! Also excited for the new owner of the Yamaha - seems like a great guy and I know he is going to have a lot of fun with it.

Make sure he joins our site too and it's a condition of buying the boat...:woot:

How much $$..
Its crazy most of the wake boat builders dont advertise actual prices. i like a moomba or even the new Heyday http://heydayinboards.com/ Wt1

I like on a chain of lakes and the 242 is to big for most bridges.. and my 8 yr old loves to kneeboard and tube

Looks great!!! Congratulations! We are loving our new boat as well :)

Finally got through break in and surfed the boat yesterday! Of course my phone ran out of storage just when we started taking pictures. But, here's one we snapped just immediately after I got up so the wave hadn't settled yet and we hadn't reached the 11.2 MPH set speed. The wave is big - about waist high - and tons of push. Once it settles it is steep and clean a good 15 feet back. Yesterday we ran full hard tanks for 2800 lbs, plus half full on the plug n play bags for another 1000 pounds, plus about 1500 pounds in buddy ballast. Sooooo fun!image.jpeg

Clean boat I have always liked the mb's but there are no dealers anywhere near me which is why i went axis

Congrats, she is a beauty of a boat!
Are you still happy with the ride? I am seriously thinking of making the switch after surfing behind a 2009 Ski Natique, but the thing rode like a truck and I was sitting in the back getting constantly sprayed after we emptied the ballast and went cruising around the lake.

Yes, very happy with it. It rides noticeably smoother than our SX210 did. Not like a dump truck at all! This particular boat has a deeper V than our Yamaha did and weighs 1600 lbs more empty. She's a solid ride. On the latest wake boats, be prepared for lower speeds, though. These things are geared and propped to pull a LOT of weight, so sub-40 top speeds are the norm. You can change props to get more speed but that trades away some of what the boat is designed to do. For us, the pluses are well worth it!

Did a little surfing today. Didn't fill the ballast all the way. This was three people on boat, 2800 lb hard tanks and about 600 lbs in the bags in the lockers. 11.2 mph.image.jpeg

I was happy with it. Would have been better with more weight in the bags, but I just haven't had the patience to let the 1100s fill all the way!

Dude, if the 1100s are pump filled, let em run while you are getting warmed up with your first run, lol. I often adjust the ballast in my Tige while running with a surfer surfing to dial the wave in.
