Finally got out in the SX230 a few days ago, and remembered the flaw in this boat. No "rear view" mirrors to scan the tubers or skiers behind the boat. I need something that clips on that will provide a nice view of the action that won't break the bank. It needs to be removed so the cover will fit when the boat is not in use. There has to be a tried and true product out there somewhere, so why not ask the experts? Suggestions?

REad the reviews, appears you have to upside down mount it and one review said this was a drawback. What does Chilly say? Can you show a photo of it attached? HOw does it fit the top rail of the window? Thanks!

I've only mounted it so it was above the windshield. It's easy to clamp on and remove. I can post pictures in the next couple of days. I believe you could mount it so it hung below the window. I'll check it out tomorrow.

Here's some picture. Mounting so it hangs below the window places the mirror too low on my opinion.

Thanks for the shots. Looks perfect and price is right.

That does look good. I bought one that I attached, but it has worn out and I wouldn't do it again as it moves too much. Wish there was a way to mount one permanently that would swing up into a useable position....otherwise this is just one more thing to attach at start up.

chillypilot,
I am looking at that mirror due to the fact that when the kids go wide to set up a jump or the tube swings out I lose track of them. What are your thoughts about being able to track everything behind you?

If you have a tower, I am a BIG Fan of the Aerial Mirror.
It's QUALITY, they back up their product with service, It is REALLY STYLISH, and the mirror is HUGE (7" x 12") and you can see everything.
The polished aluminum finish really looks SUPER !
I tried less expensive alternatives previously, and always came up dissatisfied.
In reading your post, I truly think you'll be quite happy with this, the Aerial mirror.

It comes with a Quick Release so if and when you wanna take it down, it does so in about 10 seconds.
And it is, 1)The Aerial also comes with all of the "tube adapters" (Rubberized clamp inserts) so it'll basically fit ANY Tower or mounting you might have (1.75" to 2.5").
If you don't have a tower, I apologize ... and possibly diameter this information will assist someone else. "Boating" just keeps making boating more ffun ............ LOL!

Hey ! Ain't it great with summer being here and boating everyday ? !!!!!!!!

@buckbuck. The mirror is great for seeing what behind you. It's 20 inches wide and the two outside pieces of the mirror are adjustable so your able to expand your view even further.

Mikey makes a good point. If I had a tower I would get a mirror that mounted on it. This mirror works great, but because of its size it can block your forward view. It is easy to put on take off and holds secure. Amazon is by far the best price for the mirror.

I got this mirror CIPA Wave and love it. It is huge, looks great on the boat and gives me great views. It is chrome plastic and I got it for $39 at Amazon (not sold any more)

Try this link but see if you can get it cheaper somewhere else http://www.etrailer.com/Mirrors/CIPA/CM04874.html

I was going to get this mirror but shipping was $71 via UPS or in store pickup were the only options.

I just bought this mirror the other day, it was $$135 with $19 shipping.
I like how easy it is to remove the arm and everything.

NOCO: Unless you live in outer Siberia, shipping is virtually ALWAYS less than $25. Like what @Wayloncle posted, shipping to me in Georgia is also $19. So I am not sure what you did. Why doncha simply CALL them on the Telephone ? They are NICE people to talk with and deal with. They might even knock off a little on the shipping if you're nice. Also, this SAME mirror, if you use Google creatively, can be found for even less. Good Luck.

It should fit, your tower isn't over 2.5" is it? I had to use the thick rubber insert for my 1.75" tower.
It came with 4 or 5 different size inserts.
