My father-in-law decided his time is worth more that covering his pontoon for the last 5 years. I believe his quote, it would be more economical to replace the carpet every so often than cover the pontoon. Well, he never thought it would get this bad, but as you can see in the pictures, it got out of control. He tried everything from shop vac to chemicals, and he could not clean the boat. So yesterday, I power washed the carpets, and wow, what a difference. It was a dirty job that took most of the day, but it was very effective, so for anyone with a 'tooner and finds themselves in a similar position, get out the power washer, it looks like a new carpet.

Nice!
A pressure washer is a good tool to have, mine broke about a year ago so I finally got a new one a week ago...my wife asked why I got a new weed eater. I didn't, just looks new after pressure washing it:-)

Awesome job...now take a bunch of Magic Erasers (or knock off from Ebay) and go at the seats and hard surfaces....they are amazing at removing mold and mildew!
