Mooring cover slide buckle broke

I have a 6yr old Yamaha mooring cover and the ratchet strap slide buckle broke. I guess it was time from the constant tensioning of the ratchet. Anyone know where to buy a replacement strap with just the male portion of the buckle? This is the ratcheting strap btw.

My guess is you'll have to buy the a snap buckle repair kit (basically 2 new parts) and un-stitch the male side, put in a new one and restitch it.

I cut off broken part and was able to make these fit through stitched section

@sikm3 .....temporary fix would be a quick connect link until you got that repaired.

Good morning. what size buckles did you end up getting? I have a new 255XD and cover, but the buckle straps are 3" too short (tried 2 covers). I've decided to extend them but don't know the width of the straps. Are they 1", 1.25" or 1.5"? I live a couple hours from my boat so I can't measure them.
