had our new baby almost 4 weeks now and hubby opened motor compartment yesterday and noticed all the sound proofing insulation is coming lose. Just wondering if anyone else has noticed this and what's the best glue/adhesive to reattach it! Thank for any suggestions!!!

Yes...pretty common problem. I had my dealer fix mine while it was in getting the stereo fixed. Others have bought spray adhesive and re-glued it.

@Tracy Short i had the same issue. I just bought a can of 3m spray adhesive from HomeDepot and did it at home.

Just spray the heck out of the mating surface off both pieces and put them together. No problem since. Mother Yamaha barely applied any spray adhesive.

Just follow the instructions on the can on how long to wait before you connect the two pieces.

Since there are several layers of foam, you may fix one set of layers but then later on another set comes off.

Also, look inside the bilge access hatch between the Clean out plugs. I found another layer in there that came off.

Where is that bilge access hatch?

Between the clean out plugs!

I've found contact cement works pretty well on gluing things. I haven't used it on the boat though. Be careful of drips.

3M spray is the way to go.
