Good morning - I was pulling from a no wake zone yesterday and when I gave both motors full throttle the port motor wouldn’t give any thrust after around 3k RPMs. I immediately tried cleaning out the clean out port but there was nothing. Then swam under boat and still nothing. Limped back to trailer with one motor. Still nothing when I pulled it out of the water. Clean as can be. What would cause it to provide thrust to around 3k RPMs and then stop. After 3k it sounds like it’s just spinning? Can anyone give me some ideas on what this could be?

Did any alarms sound. First thought is an overheat where the ecu was limiting rpm. Water from the pee hole?

Can you clarify if or will rev past 3000? If only pulling up to 3000 then just cavitating, that’s a different story and you likely have (or had) something stuck or damaged.

It will rev past 3000 rpm but no thrust after 3000 rpm.

Thanks. Even small debris (often elusive when inspecting the cleanout) can cause a rumble. But if no thrust past 3k, it would need to be pretty significant and obvious. Shoot a pic up the tunnel to see if you have impeller damage causing the cavitation. Debris can also clear itself, so knowing if it is still behaving that way is worth a check if you didn’t keep trying on the way back to the trailer.
