I am looking to improve sound on a new boat. My last boat came with a system that didn't need improvement. This new one is a 2017 242 Limited S and I expected more and coming from my last boat it makes me sad. So heres what Im planning so far and all of this is new to me so if i have anything that doesnt look like it will work well together, let me know!!
I am going to just amp the factory Polk front and rear cabin speakers to a Fusion 8 Channel. I be replacing the swim deck speakers with JL M3 6.5 speakers which will also be connected to the 8 channel.
Them I'm doing the JL M3 series 7.7 speakers set in Rockville's tower enclosures being powered by a Fusion 5 channel amp.
I will have open channels to I can bridge the tower speakers and have room for the sub to come later. Ill also have a spot for the tower tweeters and for another set down the road when I decide to drill new holes for the mid cabin setup. Will most likely order some Knukostumz speaker wire and rewire all but the front speakers.
Anyone see any issues or have any tips? Should I mount the amps under the seat near the batteries or behind the helm?
