My new toy for my birthday

Wife and kids got me a new action camera and the Yamaha wakeboard tower mount. Mount is nice as the rope goes through the mount and swivels to follow the skier. Hopefully will have some video this weekend.

That's a great little camera, I use one along with my Go Pro on the dirt bikes. Nice thing is that one's waterproof without having to use a case.

Where did you get the tower mount? That would be great to have on the boat!

The mount is a Yamaha accessory. Part # SBT-CAMMT-01-14. It says it's for 2014 and I had to finagle it a little to make it fit the 2015 tower but it works. I actually put 2 cameras on it to see which works better. I already had a contour roam for snowmobiling.

Can you screw any camera on to the end of that mount? Video cameras or dslr's that all have the same screw hole in the bottom.

Just orderd this mount. The contour mount unscrews and leaves the standard thread for all cameras

I have this one... https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00BDB1QSA/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 It fits fine on my '14 AR192 tower, but I', not sure if it would fit a very much larger tube diameter. It's nice that it is easy to remove and just throw in the glove box when I'm not using though.

I like the mount but think we could all up our games by adding a gimbal to it to stabilize the video.
