I have started collecting components for this build. Any guesses as to what it is?

Sidebar...I noticed in one of your recent pictures that you colored/painted the bat black. What did you use? And how is it holding up?

Floating "island" for drinks/snacks behind the boat?

Close, I’m guessing you saw the cup holders on the pic.

I’m building floating tables to go around the legs of my floating pop up shade. While I’m at it I decided to revise how the shade is secured and bought new bungee cords as well as two more shore spikes which should be delivered today.

I went with the Tulip branded paint in the attached pic.
it’s only been three or four months but my boat is stored outside and the paint shows no signs of fading or running.

Didn't see the cupholders, but the lines on the plywood suggested you were drilling holes in the quadrants, and pool noodles around water typically mean you're trying to float something. Just kind of guessed my way into what I would be doing with those materials :D Great minds think alike and all that :D

I made a little progress on this today. That is, I cut the corners off of the boards, the drain spouts off of the cup holders and gathered the remaining tools and materials I will need to finish the project. IMG_6390.jpegIMG_6391.jpegIMG_6389.jpegIMG_6388.jpeg

The last parts were just delivered. Two (imitation/simulated) shore spikes. These are not as heavy or big as the originals but they are good enough for my intended use and at $30 each at good deal. When I’m not using them for the canopy I can use them for the Waverunners.

I got a little more done today. Should finish tomorrow in time for the next camping trip.

Got it done earlier than I thought I would. They are hard to see in the pic but the polished metel (SS?) rings / bezels cover the screws which keep the cupholders in place (these are from. 2017 AR 240.

Done.

Hard to see but In The pic are the tables at the leading edge attached to main line which has shore spikes and buoys and a boat buddy bungee cord for the boat on one end and Waverunners on the other end. The rear legs will be anchored in with smaller imitation shore spikes also with marker buoys I plan to hang the towables off of the rear legs. It’s held to the main line and shore spikes with bungee cords. Including the pop ip but excluding the original shore spikes I’m into about $200 into this.

I was about to stop bringing this camping but a bunch of friends and relatives said they love it and get asked about it when I’m not around. I thought nobody used it but forgot I’m never around anymore to use it or see others use it. I’m driving the boat.
