If anyone has ever bought a new fridge and has had bad tasting ice from the built in ice makers (like my new LG fridge) then you need to install one of these inline water filters.

I had 2 service calls, changed the ice maker twice, bought new filters that go in the fridge, and had almost gave up hope on getting normal tasting ice. Then I tried this filter and it is unbelievable. I guess our water is either too hard or has too much chlorine in it for the little built in filter in the fridge to handle.

As a person that services RO systems for Coke and Pepsi bottling plants, I have installed an RO to solve this issue. Now if I could convince my refrigerator that it doesn’t need the internal filter anymore, I’d be happy. For now I’ll live with the beeping after filling a glass of water.
