Hey all! So the wife gave me a 2k limit to spend on upgrading the sounds on my 2022 AR195. So far I bought:

2 pairs of Kicker 45KM654L speakers
1 pair of Kicker 45KMTC8 tower speakers
1 Kicker 46CWTB104 passive sub

now my dilemma is which amp should I go with. An 8 channel or a 5 channel amp and a 4 channel amp. I’m afraid the 8 channel amp from kicker at 800 watts max power has enough power to power everything.

IMO, it's better to use more amps with more power than one larger all in 1. It does tend to make installation more complex, but the extra power is worth it.

Personally, I'd buy 3 amps. A 4ch for the vabin soeakers, a 2ch (or another 4ch you bridge) for the towers, and a monoblock for the sub.

Id do the JL700/5 for the tower speakers bridged and the sub and a JL400/4 for the other pairs.... I mean that is what I did

2-3 amps for sure. This will leave you future upgrade potential if you decide later. My advice.... Get 2 6 channel amps. Make sure all channels can be bridged.
Amp 1:
Channel 1-4 to cabin 4 speakers not bridged
Channel 5&6 bridged to sub
Amp 2:
Channel 1&2 bridged to one tower speaker
Channel 3&4 bridged to one tower speaker
Channel 5&6 are open for later

You'll want 800-1000 watt rms amps for this to work properly

I removed all the kicker equipment speakers subs and 3 amps and went with
JL MHD900/5 with JL m6's and JL m6 subs.
