Just bought a 2014 Yamaha AR192 and when we put it in the water on Saturday and it didn’t want to go over 5200 rpms.
I have check and made sure the impeller is clear, wear ring is in good shape with no nicks or scratches. I changed the spark plugs and charged the batteries. Checked and adjusted the throttle cable
Sunday we put it in the water to try and run thru all the gas to see if it was bad gas. After about 30 mins it started running fine. Cruised the lake and hung out in a cove for a few hours, when we went to take off it did it again. It would go up to 6000 rpms but then pull back down to 5200 rpms. Almost like the computer was telling it to.
i have read a few post on Facebook about similar issues but none of them said what fixed it. Does anyone know what could be causing this or has found a fix for it?
