Hey guys so I bought the krypt wakeboard/surf rack with the swivel and can’t seem to figure out the angle to position is so that when I swing it in , the fingers aren’t pointed in a vertical position that just seems awkward. I’m assuming we should be able to rotate them on a 180 degree axis and that it shouldn’t swing at an off angle like mine does. I’ve reached out to customer support but they don’t have any pics of how it’s supposed to look and got little instruction on the matter. If anyone that has it can chime in perhaps even show a pic of theirs, I’d be greatly indebted.

Like our rack, you have to adjust till that swivel is level, or you will never have the fingers in the right direction. If you cannot get it level, then you need another piece to allow that sort of rotation in the clamp. Or a different location that will allow the swivel to be level.

Sorry to over simplify my description, but that is the whole idea and it doesn't matter what brand rack you have. It has to be level swivel.

Which racks did you get?
I’m looking at these racks currently. I see they have some that say they are for Yamaha and then others that apear they will fit but don’t say Yamaha that are less expensive.

I traded boats, but kept the racks off the old boat with the intention of selling. I had the Bulletlines/Krypt swivel surf/surf rack. I also have a wake/kneeboard rack and maybe a wake/wake rack. Let me know if any of that is of any interest. The surf/surf was only used 1 season. The wake/kneeboard rack was only used about 2 weeks. I bought it for the zup board, but it was just too big. It fit in the surf slot better.

I was quite happy with the Krypt swivel, though it isn't a full 180 degree swivel. It's more like a 135 degree swivel... just enough to get the whole board on the inside of the boat, but it kind of stuck out in the middle on an angle. Wouldn't want to use it that way while rafted up. The swivel was just for ease of putting boards on/off.

I could never get it to work so I returned it and went with the monster racks which work much better for our boats IMO and they looked real nice especially in black . The swivel options seemed more flexible with the monster racks

I would be interested in these. I’m looking for wake board and surf boards. So maybe doing the the double wake and double surf you have.

I have read mixed reviews in the surf slots being too small and some say too big. What’s been your experience?

Cool. I’ll take some pics in the morning and see if I can get model names on everything.

The surf slots work great on our liquid force Fish 5’0” board and the Zup. It’s a little snug on my Chaos board, but it’s thicker than normal as it’s for up to 350lb guy.

Sounds good, looks like mine is 2-2.25 range on the surf board.

I may need to put this in another thread... but here's what I have that I think I would be willing to part with. The surf/surf rack, I think I want to hang on to until I get my racks mounted on the new boat and make sure everything fits. Probably another week or two. The dealer didn't mount them for me, because he didn't want to put them in the wrong place. I 'think' I appreciate that. He said that if we had to move them, they would scratch the powder coat on the tower, so just wanted to do it once.

I got so many pics, I just made a Gallery. Hopefully this works. @B0at1n let me know if any of these peak your interest and I'll see if I can get any better measurements or other pics if you want.

Id be interested in maybe one double wake and one double surf. not to concerned about swivel rack.
do they have Quick release? how much would you want for those?

Went out on the boat today for the first time with a wake board and surf board but not racks...I definitely need racks. lol.

We love our Zup, I think it is going to remain permanently. Has anyone figured out the best rack for it? We've been keeping it on board and wedging it between the passenger seat and the rail. I'm getting tired of it rubbing the vinyl and me scrubbing off the marks.

They do all have quick release... which means you unscrew the knob in the center to undo the bolt that is holding the fingers on. Works well, just don’t drop the bolt in the water.

I’ll send you a pm when I get a chance. I won’t be back to the boat until later in the week.

do you have any pictures of the monster racks?

I see there are two combo options and one doesn't come in black, which Id prefer to have black.

I purchased the Krypt, Didn't realize I didn't order the Quick release and they don't sit level anyway, I also ran into not having a swivel, means I couldn't tie up to another boat this weekend, so now thinking I want to do the swivel.

I see through Overtons the monster racks are 30% off so the swivel rack would be $550 for a pair.

@RightStuff @mattschepker

This huge board (ZUP 2.0) does fit in the surf rack!!
I would not want to cross the Strait of Florida holding it there, but it fits nice and not too snag.
Seems reasonably well balanced.

What size is that rear bar? Is it just shy of 2 inch diameter?
