Hello all. we just purchased our new ride today and it is an AR195 Yamaha. Would love to be pointed in the right direction for steering mods at low speeds and higher speeds.IMG_20200617_204207409.jpg

Congrats and welcome! You have to choices when it comes to steering mods.....Cobra Fins and Thrustvectors.

Lots of threads on here about the two, and the two vendors are very competitive.....

Thrust vectors are for low speeds right? When I am pulling a tube and go to take a corner, i will drop down to 15 mph from 30 for some reason. Everything is stock right now but i am looking for Power not speed at this point. We got the boat to pull the kids and grand kids on Tubes and skis. It looks like my thrust water is shooting high in the water instead of down into the water. With a 50ft rope, the kids drink a lot of water because of the spray. Is there an adjustment to push the water down a bit?

YouTube videos are available regarding installation. I was able to follow video. FYI when you undo keel be careful of the plastic bushings on the pin. Should be 4. I chewed mine up only to find they were on National back order. The shop supervisor, at my marina, suggested coating pin with axel grease to hold plastic bushings from slipping. In the video, it’s a flawless operation.

In order to install thrust vectors, you have to disassemble the keel. (Pretty simple) here is a diagram which includes the bushings and their placement.
