So as I mentioned in a few other posts, I have finally cracked with the "premium sound system" in the HOI model. I pulled the trigger on my new system featuring a JL M800/8 amp, 4 JL M Series 7.7in Speakers, 1 JL M Series 10in Sub, and Wetsounds Rev 8 Tower speakers. After taking the Kicker system out of the boat, they realized that all the speakers were wired piggybacking off of each other, so I had them replace every wire in the boat. Here are some pictures and video!

All I can say is wow. Great job @DJMattyT !

That one amp handles all 6 speakers and your sub? What a clean setup... Nice! :)

Significant improvement over stock I assume? Do you think just swapping out the amps with something like you have will make a big difference with the Kickers?

Yeah that amp handles everything as of now. The boat is so loud and so clear although i could add another amp to get more out of the Towers but its not necessary. Its such a HUGE improvement over stock and even though I couldve just installed a new amp and kept the kickers, I dont regret doing this at all. My stereo place told me I still wouldnt be happy with the JL amp and kicker speakers, he wanted me to do it all. Im sure it wouldve improved the kickers a lot but i still wanted the JLs

Looks great! I bet it sounds better!

That's pretty impressive sound projection. I really need to look at adding these. The distortion on my kickers is bad at high volume. These look great as well.

Yeah I just couldn't deal with the Kickers anymore. Had to upgrade

Awesome sound!! Agree with the comment on the Kickers, I am glad I didn't buy the tower speakers.

Do the tower speakers mount to the same attachment point for the kickers without any modification?

It took some modification to get it on the sides there, they had to use the old mounting brackets but drill different holes or something. To be honest I think I would rather have them on clamps coming off the top of the tower anyway, so its in the middle of the boat.

So I refuse to put the boat away for the winter..I am still doing projects lol. I wanted to paint all my new speakers the color of the boat, and now being that I have Coaxial speakers it was a bitch. I dissembled the grill from the speaker, taped off the tweeters on the speakers and I also taped off the black part to the Wetsounds grill and sent it to the body shop. I will take good pictures with a nice camera reinstalled on the boat as soon as I finish rewiring these. 20151027_203740.jpg Snapchat--55465379802139928.jpg 20151029_100536.jpg 20151110_151320.jpg .

I didn't do too well at taping the Wetsounds speakers so the lines didn't come out good at all. The body shop still has them fixing them up for me, I saw them today and they look great so far but I figured I'd share the first photo of them before they touched them up for me. They wont have any paint on the black part of the grill like shown here. IMG_65481.jpg

Lighting makes the color look off but its right. They fixed up the paint for me20151111_163140.jpg
