Out with the propeller and in with the jets. Just traded in my 21' Sea Ray for a 2016 Yamaha SX240. Drove it for the first time today and was super impressed with everything. I was very happy with the handing (especially at no wake speeds) and the the engine noise level. Much quieter than I thought.

The only thing that I need added are two speakers in the swim platform, an amplifier to push out more sound, and the bow/cockpit canvas covers. Dealer said that it should be ready in late April.

Can't wait to get it in my slip and start the summer. Just wanted to share my exciting news today and hope that I can contribute to future discussions.

Appreciate your replies ladies and gents. Wish that our water up here looked like some of the aqua blue water avatars that you guys have. I'll be on the lookout for any get togethers for anyone in Northern Illinois. OOO RAH!!

Welcome last summer was my first with my jet boat coming from years in the prop world ! Loving the jet in fact some of my faithful prop guy friends have also purchased jets. Small learning curve but all good.
