New boat owner

Welcome . I recently bought 255fsh

I bought mine in January. Expect a few quality problems! I've got many items the dealer is trying to correct under warranty.

The trailer is very disappointing. We received a recall to correct the bunk boards but the dealer wont honor it and nobody in Florida will that I know of. I ordered a new bow roller as the stock one is crappy. The trailer jack is hilariously cheap and too wimpy for this boat! I would be huffing and puffing after rolling the boat up with it and it finally broke. I'm not sure if you can even replace it directly due to it's unique design, I had to buy a good one from West Marine and attach it to the other side of the trailer, glad I did though, it's smooth and much better. The trailer does not come with guide posts...

The console has like no sealant and there is always standing water in the dressing room / console. I have to shop vac it out. I'm trying to get where I can reseal everything, havent had time. One of the drainage ports was so poorly cut, you can see daylight through the hull of the boat! I patched it with 5200.

All the friction hinges everywhere suck! They are too stiff and the screws will strip out! I took it to the dealer and they used lock tight, hope it holds! I try to grease the hinges when I can. I replaced the air spring for the front compartment due to it being too weak to hold the lid and the friction hinges being too stiff.

Jet Vectors are a must buy! It's crazy how they can sell an un-steerable boat at low speeds. They go on sale in august to buy them today lol.

The engine is fine but the cooling system tubes were pinched when I got it. Glad I noticed so the engines didnt overheat too much...

The throttle's do this thing where it constantly eases back. It's so freaking annoying. There is a fix on youtube because it's a well known problem. I have not done that yet.

Now for the design, I did not get the "E" series so I have the soft top. I really dont like it... But it would be better once I put some sort of board under the center of it where it holds water. I dont think I would have wanted anything else the E series offers except the hard top. The bow seems heavy and the boat seems to always tilt forward but I think thats a counter balance thing and the wind appears to be doing some of that when you're going into it.

Despite all that (any many more things that I'm not taking the time to list), I'm still loving this boat! My family has taken it out almost every weekend. We installed a trolling motor which is tough for these types of boats, but it was well worth it. We sit in comfort with guest and other families and have had up to 10 people in the boat and still hauled ass at about 47 mph.
