bought a 2006 Yamaha AR230 HO yesterday. Origional owner said his mechanic when he had it winterized last fall said that it needed rear shaft seals in port engine and that the water leak wasn't bad and the bilge kept up with it. Looking at the jet drive diagram what parts would I need?

Gotta pull the motor, take off the bottom end and reseal it all. I would see about getting any gaskets for things you take apart.
Places online are your best bet for prices and selection such as boat.com and stuff.
On a phone all weekend but hopefully someone can dig up a link to a diagram on one of those sites for ya quick.

Welcome aboard @Paul smith and congrats on the new boat. Am I correct in assuming that youre talking about the pump shaft seal? I think you can get to that by pulling the pump out the back of the boat and sliding the engine forward a few inches. I thought I read about somebody replacing one here recently. Sometimes the seals blow out if they're over greased, so be careful not to blow the new one out.

Sounds like the seller was pretty up front about the boats condition. A lot of sellers don't bother to disclose leaks like that. It's often something that's found out on a new owners maiden voyage :( did you lake test it? How bad was the leak? Might be something that could wait til the off season

How's she look? Any pics?

Again, welcome aboard.
