New Boat

Got a new 2016 Yamaha 242 limited E today. Is there anyone around Jacksonville NC.
Welcome Bobby! There's a couple of us in the area, and a ton of yamies on the water. We're in Stella and have a black SX240 named "Bay Wolf".

Matt

glad to have you on board, update your location on your profile page so it will show on the map and your posts,
Be sure to check out the FAQ for lots of great info to keep you safe and happy on your new boat!

You're going to have a blast with the new toy. Start your "modification savings account" now! We'll help you spend every last dime otherwise. :-D

Enjoy and be safe out there!

Does anyone know if this is correct? My dealer said that the break in period is done at the factory when they test the boats.

I was told the same thing. But since I'm the one paying for this beast I still followed the proper break in procedures. Doesn't take too long.. sides you almost need the time to get used to driving a jet boat.

Welcome @Bobby Cook and congrats on the new boat. I'm pretty sure that Yamaha lake tests every boat before leaving the factory, but I haven't heard about them breaking in the boats.

However, If they do, I'm going to have to move out that way and apply for that job ASAP ;)

Welcome! You are going to love the new toy. I would recommend doing the break-in for peace of mind.
