Just started looking at the forum a few weeks ago after purchasing a 2016 FSH 190 Deluxe last month. I owned several different boats about 15 years ago...when my kids were young and weeknights were filled with sports practices and weekends with tournaments around New England so I left boating. Now that my wife and I are emptynesters, I told her that I planned on building an 18ft wooden boat and hitting the sound for some fishing.... She wasn't planning on going in a homemade boat...so we began to look at boats and ended up picking up our boat to do some fishing in Long Island Sound. Still getting used to the differences in handling especially slow speed and working through some design issues with the water in the boat, but having a blast fishing and have I've been impressed with the ride in the sound.

Been impressed with the information I've read on the forum and looking forward to reading more and sharing some ideas about the boat I've observed.
