i finally redid the system in my AR 250

I went with
mm50 tuner
m6 6.5 x 6 - 2 extra speakers in drivers station
m6 7.7 x 2 - replaced middle 6.5s
m6 10" sub x 2
bass knob
jl xdm 8x 100
jl xdm 600 sub AMP
jl swim deck remote
xk chrome lighting control for all speakers

wow!!!!!this system sounds incredible. I can comfortably blast music at full throttle and completely cover the motor. the sound is warm and crisp...I ended up doing way more than I thought but I think its worth every bit

i also have 2 pairs of new in box M3 6.6 gunmetal w rgb lighting for sale in the classified section for 500

I did a very similar setup in my AR250 and was also very pleased. I think you and I actually talked about adding in more speakers by the driver/passenger to get more volume there while underway. Looks great, congrats!

The last think you could do to maximize is have it professionally tuned if you haven’t already. Or maybe add some tower speakers. I just did the JL m6 8.8” towers (on an JL 400/4 bridged) and they are VERY loud and clear. So loud they actually drown out the rest of my entire system at half volume. Luckily they’re on a dedicated zone

I agree - I have two pair of the 8.8's and they PROJECT clear. I can run them only at 25% volume and walk 100 yards away on the sandbar and it's like I'm still standing next to the boat.

Very Nice. Where is the head unit installed? It looks like it’s right where the Connext screen is on my 2016 242 SE.

to the right of my screen - we removed the phone holder

Did you upgrade the batteries?

no - i will keep an eye on them but for now they are fine. it is wired w the stereo on the house switch and lighting on start. (i dont use the rgb ights when im parked). when parked the connext screen and everything else is off. so far when parked and floating for 3+ hours it starts right up.

Gotcha. About to upgrade also just wanted to calculate all the costs to see what I was up against. Already upgraded to 2 group 27 Duracell agm batteries which should be fine but didn’t want run into any surprises.

I'm running two X2 AGM's for my house and can sit all day at 60% volume at the sandbar and they barely get to 12.5v

I have an M6 system with 8x 6" in the tub, one 10" bandpass box behind drivers helm, and four 8.8s on the tower. 1500w worth of amps.
